Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, an international law firm, is actively recruiting a Business Intelligence Data Coordinator. This position performs administrative work with a high degree of proficiency in the firm’s intelligence system. Works with the Marketing Technology team and others to promote business development initiatives and activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Serves as an administrative data coordinator for the firm’s business intelligence systems.
2. Reviews and audits daily data collection into the firm’s business intelligence system. Ensures integrity of data, verifying information regarding data quality and data completeness. Flags incomplete records for follow up and further review.
3. Supports data quality improvements by promoting standards and business rules and regularly monitoring and reporting on adoption levels.
4. Works closely with Marketing/Client Development team and other departments to append existing profile data for better marketing and cross promotion opportunities.
5. Makes recommendations for enhancing the efficiency of the firm’s databases. Implements approved enhancements/changes. Assists with developing and performing ongoing audits to maintain reliability and consistency of firm’s experience and client data.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of three years of prior database systems experience, preferably in a law firm, professional services, or other client relationship-based organization. Strong data gathering and analytical skills required. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and other applications as required. Minimum Excel experience includes being proficient using v-lookups and pivot tables. Must be comfortable working with and manipulating data in many forms to create reports, track metrics, and assist with the creation and development of data visualization graphics.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Accurate typing, word processing skills and ability to pay strict attention to detail. Spelling, punctuation, vocabulary and use of grammar must be of high quality. Must have strong organizational skills, exercise attention to detail and exhibit exceptional verbal and written communication and listening skills. Ability to work well under pressure, patience, diplomacy, high stress tolerance, excellent interpersonal communication skills. Ability to prioritize workload under minimal supervision and adapt to changing conditions. Visual acuity needed for transcription, extensive reading and input (typing) of information into computer. Ability to receive and convey detailed information through oral communication. Essential competency processes include language ability, reasoning and memory. Ability to learn new and complex system applications Ability to troubleshoot content and formatting issues and follow through to resolution. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple competing tasks and demands. Ability to estimate production times. Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization. Work is mainly sedentary.
