Job Description
Job Title: Nutrition Manager
Reports To: Director of Child Nutrition
Contracted Days: 180
Job Summary: This position is expected to have a broad knowledge of food service techniques, functions, and food service preparation experience. They should have a goal-oriented mindset and maintain good responsible organization skills for performing diverse duties and interacting with staff.
Essential Duties:
Attend and complete required job-related training classes and workshops.
Participating in 12 hours of training each year will be expected to stay up to date on policies, procedures, safety standards, and training with breakfast & lunch applications.
Practice appropriate procedures to ensure sanitation and safety standards are met in the
preparation of the service area; preparing, serving, and storing food; use and care of equipment; personal habits.
Follow verbal and/or written instructions for preparing, portioning, garnishing, and serving meals, storing food, and utilizing and maintaining equipment and facility.
Consistently demonstrate efficient and productive use of time and resources to meet established productivity standards.
Maintain with accuracy all required records and forms including time sheets, absence reports, food and supply usage records, cashier records, etc.
Consistently demonstrate the ability to communicate positively with students, co-workers, and school staff.
Follow procedures in personnel matters including grievance, absence, job bidding, and
established dress code.
If cashier, receive continued on-the-job training as required by software updates; maintain accuracy in daily transactions and money collections and accounting.
Perform food service-related tasks as assigned by the manager or his/her representative.

Qualifications:
Completion of the State of Arkansas Manager Certification is preferred
At least two years of experience in school food service is preferred

Salary : $31,300 - $39,600
