Job Title: Nutrition Manager

Reports To: Director of Child Nutrition

Contracted Days: 180

Job Summary: This position is expected to have a broad knowledge of food service techniques, functions, and food service preparation experience. They should have a goal-oriented mindset and maintain good responsible organization skills for performing diverse duties and interacting with staff.

Essential Duties:

• Attend and complete required job-related training classes and workshops.

• Participating in 12 hours of training each year will be expected to stay up to date on policies, procedures, safety standards, and training with breakfast & lunch applications.

• Practice appropriate procedures to ensure sanitation and safety standards are met in the

  preparation of the service area; preparing, serving, and storing food; use and care of equipment; personal habits.

• Follow verbal and/or written instructions for preparing, portioning, garnishing, and serving meals, storing food, and utilizing and maintaining equipment and facility.

• Consistently demonstrate efficient and productive use of time and resources to meet established productivity standards.

• Maintain with accuracy all required records and forms including time sheets, absence reports, food and supply usage records, cashier records, etc.

• Consistently demonstrate the ability to communicate positively with students, co-workers, and school staff.

• Follow procedures in personnel matters including grievance, absence, job bidding, and

  established dress code.

• If cashier, receive continued on-the-job training as required by software updates; maintain accuracy in daily transactions and money collections and accounting.

• Perform food service-related tasks as assigned by the manager or his/her representative.

• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications:

• Completion of the State of Arkansas Manager Certification is preferred

• At least two years of experience in school food service is preferred
