Support Front Desk shifts when needed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Answer phone calls, assess guest needs and effectively match guest to appropriate Schweitzer property. Promote and up-sell other resort services/activities such as lift tickets and lessons. Proactively offer and sell Trip Protection. Process website reservations, collect deposits and charge final payment. Complete daily checklist to ensure accuracy of all reservations. Monitor voicemail, e-mail and lodging reservations system and assist with third party reservations with guidance from FD manager. Support Front Desk agents in the reservation making process and assist during peak times. Operate necessary equipment such as the phone, computer, and calculator. Perform other tasks assigned by hotel management. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist Front Desk with guest check-in and check-out and provide information when needed. Assist with group functions when necessary. Availability: Job is part time; typically 8 hour shifts. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays. Must be available to work between 7am – 11pm. Worksite is the Selkirk Lodge reservations departments. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SKILLS: Basic computer and math, good judgment when dealing with the public, very high organizational skills, ability to multi-task effectively EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent EXPERIENCE: Previous work experience in a customer service position, previous hotel experience a plus. LICENSE NEEDED: None MACHINES/TOOLS OPERATED: Computer, telephone, copier and fax machine.
