Performs diversified duties involving heating, air-conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration and related control systems. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Performs installation, operation, inspection, preventative maintenance and repair on all HVAC equipment. Maintains the HRHS HVAC control system according to state and local regulatory agencies. Works with outside vendors and contractors. Reports any complications on specific jobs or equipment to management. Responds to emergency situations throughout the facility. Performs routine maintenance and other functions as needed and/or requested. Considers budget when purchasing or requesting supplies, equipment, etc. Abides by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI). Performs functions that may affect a population newborn through geriatric. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Knowledge of heating, air-conditioning, ventilation systems, refrigeration, and related control systems. Knowledge of tools and equipment to perform HVAC functions. Knowledge of fire safety codes. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
