Packer

The Packer is responsible for manually packaging materials and products by performing the work/packaging instructions specified for each product or part. The Packer also visually verifyies that parts and finished products are in compliance with quality standards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Efficiently/effectively gather packing materials that are correct to the bill of materials, verify serial numbers, complete necessary paperwork and operate barcode scanners.
• Wraps protective material around product as required.
• Pack and process finished materials and move them to appropriate staging areas within the warehouse.
• Update the company operating system to perform movement of material, and any other functions required to perform job duties.
• Visually inspects materials, products, and containers at each step of packaging process.
• Records information such as Serial Number, weight, time, and date packaged.
• Communicates any issues with the Packing Lead, and/or Supervisor in order to resolve the issue in a timely manner.
• Seek and act upon ways to improve daily work processes to enhance quality and productivity.
• Participate in 5S Workplace organizational activities and maintain the area in good working order through sustainment activities.
• Other duties as required.

Education, Skills, and Abilities:

• High school diploma or GED/equivalent
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Moves materials weighing up to 40 pounds
• Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas

We are offering $17.00-$20.40 per hour, depending on shift, with openings on 1st shift and 2nd shift, Monday-Friday.
