HX5 is seeking a Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert to join our team at Hurlburt Field in support of the 605th Test and Evaluation Squadron.
As a Cybersecurity SME, you will advise and assist by interfacing with their cybersecurity expertise across Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) Systems, and other C4ISR Systems as tasked. T&E activities include, but are not limited to:
- Advise and assist by supporting NC3 Cybersecurity OT&E (including Force Development Evaluation (FDE), Operational Utility Evaluation (OUE), Operational Assessments (OA), Tactics Development and Evaluation (TD&E) activities, Advanced Concept Technology Demonstrations (ACTDs), Middle Tier Acquisitions (MTA), Rapid Prototyping Agile, Concept Demonstrations, Operational Demonstrations.
- Support shall focus on support to AFGSC Command Post systems and other systems that support the NC3 enterprise.
- Support will include Mission Based Cyber Risk Assessments (MBCRA), Cooperative Vulnerability Penetration Assessment (CVPA), Adversarial Assessments (AA), and other cybersecurity related activities as directed.
- Provide decision makers with OT&E reports for cooperative and adversarial tests and determine the systems' operational effectiveness, suitability, and survivability.
- Establish operational mission measures and effects in contested cyberspace while conducting operational missions. Using current threat information, prior test results, the latest attack surface analysis, and MBCRA results to scope test strategy.
- Examine program documentation, artifacts, processes, the supply chain, system components, technologies, and interfaces to build a picture of, assess and document potential cyber vulnerabilities that could affect technical, functional, and operational performance.
- May develop software to collect, reduce, and analyze data; document the requirements for systems needed to perform tests; and install and integrate these systems.
Experience and Other Requirements:
- Five (5) years of experience as a Cybersecurity SME is required.
- Three (3) years of experience as an operational tester is desired.
- Sec or equivalent cert.
Preferences
- Desired CISSP or equivalent certification desired.
- Desired cryptological modernization with experience.
- Desired RF and expeditionary communication experience.
- Desired former 17D, 17S, 3D0X3 or 1D7X1M.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.
Other Position Requirements:
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for this position.
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance prior to the date of hire.
- Must have the ability to obtain a US Top Secret/SCI SSBI within six months of hire.
