Responsibilities:

• Build automation, provision, and manage cloud resources across development, test, and production environments.

• Create and support a HA (High Availability) production app environment for Kubernetes in AWS using EKS.

• Create and support a HA (High Availability) production database environment for Clickhouse in AWS.

• Build and maintain infrastructure as code to provision infrastructure using several tools: Chef, CloudFormation, Packer.

• Build and support CI/CD pipelines for the deployment of Bodhala applications.

• Work with Bodhala application teams and the Infrastructure Operations team to understand requirements and provide guidance with DevOps work.

• Troubleshoot application issues and collaborate with Support specialists.

• Work with product teams to define and prioritize product related DevOps requirements (performance, scaling, monitoring, component upgrades, cloud native options, …).

• Participates in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives to enable progress, and surface and resolve impediments.

• Help define and leverage best practices for security, compliance, and governance across Bodhala applications infrastructure.

• Help evaluate emerging Cloud and DevOps technologies continually to identify opportunities, trends, and best practices to strengthen development practices.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Experience running Kubernetes workloads on the cloud (AWS EKS a plus)

• Experience setting up and maintaining HA (High Availability) cloud-based apps and databases

• Git in a collaborative environment (GitLab a plus)

• 2 years recent experience automating infrastructure in AWS using Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Chef, Packer, Terraform, etc.)

• Experience running containers in production

• Experience with Python

• Experience with MLOps and machine learning workloads (Sagemaker is a plus)

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins a plus)

• Proficient in Linux

• Postgres or any SQL database experience

Desirable:

• Experience with Clickhouse

• Replication experience with zookeeper

• Experience with Enterprise Web applications in production

• Experience in the following: Datadog, Elasticsearch Service / ELK, Cloudflare, Nagios

• 3 years of relevant experience
