Summary:
This position will report to the HSE Manger at the Facility, this individual will work along with the rest of the plant staff to ensure that all team members are working in an Environmentally Safe Plant that also promotes Health and Safety of all employees.
Job Responsibilities:
Implement and Coordinate ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Certification Activity
Conduct IMS Case Review and verify corrective action closure.
Maintain and Audit the HSE MS (Health, Safety, Environmental Management System)
Assist with legal Compliance Monitoring, Measuring, and Reporting
Work with departments on specific HSE procedures (JSA, LTV, Confined Space, etc.)
Work with various departments on HSE Management of Change practices.
Coordinate/Provide Training for HSE related topics.
Improve HSE related training & maintain training matrix.
Daily Shop-Floor Observations/Interventions to assist in Continual Culture Development
Implement and Coordinate recycle process and other items to contribute to the Green imitative.
Assist with New Hire Orientation and On-Boarding Activity
Facilitate Industrial Hygiene Testing (i.e. Noise, Air-Quality, etc.)
Perform daily and weekly HSE Audits & Inspections.
Conduct daily observations/coaching/interventions to assure safe work practices are being followed.
Facility Mentor and Train for sustainable change
Work with SPA’s to maintain compliance in all functions of the HSE Management system
Required Education/Experience
- Associate degree required, Bachelors preferred or 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
Satisfactory background check required of qualified candidate(s) to comply with Department of Transportation HAZMAT regulation.
A qualified applicant will be required to organize and manage multiple tasks related to HSE compliance.
Must possess significant leadership ability and great interpersonal skills.
Must possess the basic skill set needed to manage Health, Safety & Environmental projects
Broad familiarity with the operation’s manufacturing process and HSE systems.
Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient math and analytical skills.
Advanced computer skills with a high level of proficiency with MS Office programs (Power Point, Excel, Access, SharePoint, MS Teams, etc.…).
