Job Summary:
This position represents the department in establishing objectives and long-range goals ensuring the department follows organizational policies, procedures, and processes and cooperates with other departments as required in the achievement of organizational goals. It provides a safe working environment for all employees; drives the safety culture within the department and is responsible for identifying, assessing, and correcting any unsafe conditions within the department
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct and manage risk assessments as necessary implementing improvement actions- Direct department staff to efficiently coordinate all administrative and production functions.
- Oversee the supervision of department staff.
- Direct the planning and scheduling of packing personnel.
- Analyze, evaluate, and refine packing procedures and processes.
- Ensure that staffing requirements are met for the department, including hiring, employee training and development, and goal setting.
- Enforce processes and procedures with consistency.
- Able to lead and promote a team environment.
- Set department objectives/KPIs and review the ongoing performance of direct reports.
- Ability to present a positive unified front to all employees, reinforcing the goals, strategies, and personal commitment of the leadership team.
- Understands and enforces all safety policies and procedures
- Attends all training sessions as required
- 24/7 support for continuous operation
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education/Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience of 3-5 years required
- Basic Computer Skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively at all levels of the organization and with a diverse customer base.
- Manage packing team to ensure they are working on the correct priority items in a safe and quality manner.
- Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing packing team that meets agreed objectives, and delivers best practice results with added value and continuous improvement.
- Proven record of coaching others to succeed in their areas of influence.
- Team player, Self-Starter, Adaptable to change
