Job Summary: As a paint line supervisor, you will be responsible for the coordination, execution, and review of the production schedule, materials, and downtime to ensure product specifications and delivery are met. As a paint line supervisor, you are responsible for the safety, operational and working practices, and the utilization of your employees to ensure that company goals and safety requirements are met.
Required Education/Experience:
- Associates degree (AA) or equivalent education/experience
- Previous Aluminum Fabrication Experience required.
- Involvement in successful process definition
- Re-engineering experience in employee involvement.
- Must be able to work any shift required.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Knowledge of employment law highly desired.
Job Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate activities of Paint Line in processing materials by performing duties personally or through subordinate supervisors
- Review production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations
- Requisition needed supplies and materials to ensure meeting delivery schedules
- Plan, Prepare, and Review operational schedules and coordinate activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications and reduce maintenance problems and operational delays.
- Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operation performance and optimum utilization
- Develop or revise standard operational and working practices and observe workers to ensure compliance with standards
- Ensure worker safety through observations and adherence to regulations and policies
- Support and maintain established HYDRO Quality Management System
