What are the responsibilities and job description for the Agency Management Systems Leader position at Hylant?
The Opportunity:
The Agency Management Systems Leader will help drive Hylant’s service teams towards more efficient and scalable processes relative to Hylant’s agency management systems (AMS) and integrated business solutions. This person will drive optimization of technology solutions to service and support our clients in collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter experts across the organization to drive increased client retention and allow the service team more time to be effectively client focused.

A qualified candidate will have a minimum of five years of insurance experience working as a subject matter expert with the Applied EPIC and full platform. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset to process improvement utilizing these systems for all of our internal users.
In This Role You Will Execute On:
- Direct team including leadership and guidance to team in all talent functions including recruiting, hiring, training, career development, and performance management ensuring teams have the support and resources needed to meet or exceed business objectives.
- Develop KPIs to measure success of optimization efforts impacting Hylant’s AMS,
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to confirm alignment of AMS and integrated solutions with Hylant’s strategic initiatives.
- Establish best practices for documenting training and technical documentation to ensure business continuity of Hylant’s AMS.
- Act as a change agent to encourage the adoption and utilization of Hylant’s agency management system(s)
- Identify, evaluate, configure, and implement business process optimizations that directly impact Hylant’s AMS
- Interface with business owners to assist in the definition, interpretation, and implementation of AMS enhancements to support organizational efficiencies.
- Collaborate with solution vendors to develop strategic roadmaps aimed at workflow and process optimization.
- Coordinate with process owners and technology owners to define technology requirements to support the process strategy and deployment.
- Obtain, create and document business requirements engaging multiple stakeholders, and provide associated recommendations that consider the needs of cross functional teams.
- Work closely with IT staff to design and implement solution to meet needs defined in project scope and requirements including development and management of project timelines, resources, and budget requirements, and communication plans.
- Develop and execute on plans for testing and implementing suggested changes for improved optimization.
- Perform other duties and special projects as requested.
In This Role You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and/or 3-5 years’ relevant experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional relationship development and interpersonal skills. Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 5 years work experience, with proven experience managing projects.
- Technical or Project Management Certifications a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of Insurance required.
- Knowledge of both Property & Casualty and Employee Benefits highly desired.
- Working knowledge of Applied Systems Solutions (Epic, CSR24, Indio) required.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills including listening, speaking and writing.
- Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and creativity for developing business solutions.
- Ability to work well with others in solution of mutual problems; respects the opinions, abilities, and contributions of others; cooperative and open minded in working with others.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of Hylant workflows and processes.
- Ability and willingness to travel by car or airplane for meetings, conferences, or other business-related functions.
