The Opportunity:

Internship opportunity with Hylant's Global Captive Solutions Team. Enhance the client experience by providing support to the internal team.  To develop skills, industry knowledge and relationships. The preference for this position is to be based in the Vermont area with ability to work 100% remote.

The Global Captive Solutions Intern is driven by prompt, accurate and thoughtful service to clients and internal team members. With prior education and/or internship experience with accounting and finance background she/he will need to have a comfort with financial reporting.

In This Role You Will Execute On:

  • Timely response and follow up of all issues/inquiries received, including proactively updating team on outstanding items.
  • Assisting with preparation of various client presentations and deliverables
  • Support marketing efforts for new business opportunities and current book of business including reviewing and summarizing quotes and proposal preparation where applicable.
  • Assist with financial statement workpaper preparation
  • Assist with board meeting materials
  • Assist with state filings
  • Running and distributing client reports
  • Willingness to learn new skills and procedures
  • Ability to move from project to project
In This Role You'll Need:

  • Good communication skills, including listening, speaking and writing
  • Represent Hylant core values and follow protocols
  • Ability to organize, plan and prioritize with effective results
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Team player
  • Open to constructive criticism and ideas
  • Be willing to share observations and insights that could positively enhance clients and team member experience.
  • Be an active problem solver, asking questions that lead to resolution.
  • Possess a willingness to investigate and learn more about the property/casualty and captive industry.
