HYPE Dance Studio is one of Northern California's most innovative centers for dance. Named one of the "Top 50 dance studios in the country" by Dance Spirit Magazine. Offering classes in jazz, hip hop, contemporary, tap, ballet, musical theater, heels, pre-dance, and more. Led by creative director Sarah Schneeweis, programs include competitive dance Fusion Dance Company, with a pre-professional company called Fusion Pro that specializes in commercial dance and steps toward a professional career. We put on 3-4 shows per year, perform at NBA games, compete nationwide, and support a studio full of young dancers looking for opportunity to perform. Located in Chico, the studio is situated perfectly for dancers to come from all over the area and benefit from the HYPE Experience.

We are looking to expand our team and hire an experienced, knowledgeable ballet teacher for our company and pre-professional dancers. Ballet 1 – 4. Summer programs/intensives (June-July 2023, hours will vary). Fall/Spring session (Aug. 2023 – June 2024, set weekly schedule). Classes will vary based on availability and level, with a minimum of 6 hours per week. Possibility of additionally leading the ballet classes for our younger company members as well depending on availability. In addition to weekly classes, private lessons from our current company members can be scheduled weekly and pay at a high rate. Ideally, we are looking for someone with a lot of prior ballet dance AND teaching experience to connect with our dancers and give them the technique and instruction they need on a consistent basis. Job requires someone invested in the growth of the dancers and who has a passion for dance. Classes are held after school hours, between 3:30-7:30 PM. 2 afternoons/evenings per week is ideal, schedule will depend on availability. This will also require choreography for all shows put on by Hype Dance Studio throughout the year. Many additional choreography opportunities are available. We are looking for someone to join our dance family!
