The Global Inventory Manager is responsible to develop and execute Hyperion’s Global Inventory strategy to coordinate an optimized level of Inventory to maintain required Delivery Performance while maximizing Inventory turns. This role will require working closely with each Business Unit, including Segment Management, Commercial Leaders, Operational and Supply Chain teams and Finance to ensure inventory objectives are achieved.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages and executes the planning, establishment and fulfillment of: 1) inventory targets, turns and value within each entity across the Hyperion business, and 2) finished goods stocked globally at warehouses, distribution centers, and consignment locations including driving the weekly sales units inventory management.

  • Identifies, develops, and implements best practices for inventory and supply planning to help monetize overall supply chain value.
  • Collaborates with IT and other resources to define & guide ERP utilization to create data linkages that will support Supply Chain Analytics and daily demand-based actions.
  • Designs stock optimization models, EOQ analysis models, and classification analysis to support on time delivery and achievement of net working capital improvement objectives.
  • Participates in monthly operating reviews, daily/weekly visual management within the team and communication to all levels within the organization including stakeholders and management
  • Champions the expanded use of technology and lean principles to improve planning, decision making, and execution. Supports the use of the ERP system for inventory management principles. Also designs and implements Kanban, where needed or required for optimal inventory and delivery performance
  • Manages inventory implications from new product introduction and product life cycle management together with the business line managers. This includes taking action to minimize and disposition slow/obsolete finished goods inventory. Collaborates with finance, business lines and production teams to determine optimal solutions and inventory write offs required.

Requirements: _*

  • Bachelor’s degree. (Business or Engineering preferred but not required)
  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years’ experience in a progressive Supply Chain roles
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in S&OP, Planning and/or Inventory Management
  • APICS Certified a plus
  • Ability to influence and lead indirectly
  • An understanding of the application and concepts of Production and Planning Control fundamentals including MRP, Inventory Management, Supply & Demand, Logistics, Procurement, Capacity Planning, Scheduling, and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure and deal with complexity and manage ambiguity and distill relevant information into simple messages.
