Hyperlinks Media is seeking a Website Strategist to focus on research, discovery, and the planning phases of website projects. In this role, you will be especially focused on capturing the content and functional requirements for the project. You will be responsible for creating the information architecture (site map, navigation structure, taxonomies, content types, wireframes and content outlines/frameworks), producing detailed documentation for the website requirements and collaborating with the Head of Web Development and Project Management/Coordinator, collecting content from the client, and helping other members of the team (designers and developers) understand the client goals, audience needs, and opportunities for future functionality and growth.
Job Responsibilities:
- In this role, you will be especially focused on capturing the content and functional requirements for the project
- You will be responsible for creating the information architecture (site map, navigation structure, wireframes, taxonomies, content types, and content outlines), producing detailed documentation for the website requirements and collaborating with the Head of Web Development and Head of Project Management, collecting content from the client, and helping other members of the team (designers and developers) understand the client goals, audience needs, and opportunities for future functionality and growth
- This is a full-time, remote position in Houston, Texas with the possibility of going into the office next year.
- As a Website Strategist, you will lead website intakes, create content plans and information architecture models based on client feedback and help clients organize and plan their content
- You will also participate in and lead client and stakeholder interviews, review and make recommendations on client-supplied and internal copywriter content, review analytics, create sitemaps, and work closely with the design team to review wireframes.
- You will also manage the process to collect all website content from the client and ensure it is formatted for the web.

- Interview stakeholders to define goals, gather user insights and review analytics
- Build trust and confidence with clients through the project.
- Collaborate with other teams (developers, designers, SEO, and creatives) to ensure the client's goals are achieved and to identify new opportunities.
- Oversee the website content process by collecting, analyzing, formatting, repurposing, and auditing content from clients.
- Contribute to and improve upon existing website strategy processes at Hyperlinks
- Executes and owns high-level strategic webpage builds and refreshes, including measurement and tracking to key business metrics
- Help train clients on how to use the website where needed, and review website documentation.
Job Requirements:
- You will need to have an understanding of UX, high knowledge of WordPress, and a deep understanding of website content and strategy
- Strong understanding of information architecture (site maps, navigation, etc.)
- Strong understanding of WordPress & Web App site management
- Strong understanding of website intakes and processes
- Strong understanding of the processes for User Experience, Website Design, and Website Development
- Strong presentation skills
- Experience leading website launches and website marketing planning
- Desire to work in a collaborative client-facing role
- Desire to work with designers, project managers, developers, and marketing experts
- Familiarity with Google Analytics and SEO
