Job Title Quality Engineer I-III Job Family Job Description HYG is looking for an energetic Quality Assurance Engineer II who will have a positive influence on the Electric Assembly team. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring and supporting the overall product quality by product class. This includes Manufacturing Support, Supplier Communications, Design Engineering Liaison, Warranty Evaluation, Inspections, and Dealer Hotline Calls. The successful Quality Assurance Engineer will have the following Key Accountabilities: Quality-Manufacturing Support Manufacturing in resolution of quality problems (Fabrication, Assembly, Planning, and Scheduling) Enhance the overall quality of the product and the elimination of quality problems Quality-Dealer Support Respond to Product Class Hotlines and Quality Alerts (Problem resolution and documentation) Reduce/eliminate the number of dealer complaints on product by identifying preventive action and taking corrective action where necessary Quality-Purchasing Coordination of Supplier Corrective Actions with the Greenville Procurement Engineer Documentation of supplier problems to facilitate resolution Quality-New Product Support New Product Introduction (Pre-Production and Product Start-up) Problem Identification and reporting Documentation of problems encountered at pre-production to eliminate problems at production Training Training and Supporting the Product Class Quality Technicians Enhance product knowledge and quality methods and future promotion Documentation Creation and Maintenance of the Assembly and Fabrication Quality Verification Sheets Monitoring International Standards Organization (ISO) 9002 Compliance Documentation of the in-process quality requirements and control to ensure compliance with ISO-9002 standards The successful Quality Assurance Engineer II will have the following Minimum Qualifications: Extensive Product Knowledge acquired through on the job training and internal training required Assembly Practices and Fabrication Practices acquired through on the job training, workshops and/or seminars required Electrical, Hydraulic and Mechanical Systems knowledge acquired through formal education (prefer 4-year degree in Industrial Technology, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering) plus a minimum of 1 year experience as Quality Assurance Engineer 1 from on-the-job training, workshops and/or seminars required Problem Solving Techniques acquired through In-house training sessions required Inspection Methods acquired through In-house training, and on the job, training required Statistical Methods acquired through formal education, internal training, and external seminars required ISO 9002 Standards acquired through internal training and external seminars required Quality Principles acquired through internal training and external seminars required Job ID JC1086 Employment Type Full time Work Hours 40 Travel Required 1-10% Primary Location HYG US Berea, KY Address 2200 Menelaus Pike Zip Code 40403 Field-Based No Relocation Assistance Available No We are an equal opportunity employer with an excellent benefit package including medical, dental and life insurance, 401(k) and profit sharing.
