Job purpose
The Night Warehouse Manager will ensure that all warehouse activities are carried out efficiently and profitably.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily workflow of the warehouse; schedule and organize staff to ensure proper staffing of all shifts.
- Hire and train new warehouse employees.
- Conduct regular safety trainings and machine certification trainings for employees
- Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Coach/mentor employees to develop skillset and achieve performance requirements
- Handle discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient warehouse operations through collaboration and coordination with other departments.
- Complete all required management reports.
- Execute maintenance activities when needed.
- Research, identify, and present new ideas to improve warehouse operations.
- Attend and participate in regularly scheduled and impromptu meetings.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
- Take initiative to accomplish open tasks; be proactive and seek additional work when available
- Safety: Complete safety training session and pass safety training test at time of hire and on an annual basis.
- Safety: Act in compliance with safety practices and procedures throughout the warehouse. Report any safety concerns to Vice President of Operations and take action to address safety concerns.
- Ensure that the team maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; sweep, dust and mop as needed.
- Maintain positive work relations; support team work and help coworkers to accomplish team goals
- Listen and communicate respectfully with employees at all levels within the organization and outside vendors
- Attendance; Maintain regular attendance and follow call out and time off procedures as outlined in the handbook.

- The position includes all other responsibilities that may be necessary to fulfill the duties associated with a Night Warehouse Manager or as may be assigned.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of ten years warehouse operations management experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
- Experience with warehouse management systems, such as NetSuite
- Working knowledge of RF Scanner system
- Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
- Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; intermediate level experience with Excel and Word
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Time management; Ability to handle multiple demands and work to meet deadlines

Work Environment
This job operates in a warehouse environment as well as an office environment. When in the warehouse this role routinely uses equipment such as sit-down and stand-up hi-lo fork lifts, pump and electric pallet jacks, ladders and RF scanner guns. When in the office this role this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as desktop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days of work are Sunday through Thursday. Hours of work are forty (40) or more hours per week. The night shift starts at approximately 5:30pm and ends when workload is complete and trucks are ready for delivery, by approximately 3:00 am to 5:00 am. This position may occasionally require longer hours when workload or project deadlines require it.
Travel- Travel is not required for this role.

The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision requirements for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; climb stairs/ladders; stoop; kneel; crouch; balance; use hands to finger, handle or feel a keypad, handheld device or phone; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee frequently is required to lift/carry 25-50 pounds safely from floor to waist height, and from waist height to shoulders. Occasionally, the employee will be expected to lift/carry up 25-50 pounds above the shoulders. Occasionally, the employee will be expected to lift/carry over 50 pounds. Frequently the employee will be expected to push/pull items from 25 – 50 pounds and occasionally over 50 pounds.

The position will oversee a team of night warehouse associates, which may also include supervisor or lead positions.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
