I & M Machine and Fabrication is a thriving company that has been in business since 1974. We are looking for a Manual Machinist. Training on set up and operation on the job. Must be capable of working with minimum supervision and be able to work with others in a team atmosphere.
Job Description
Manual Machinists produce parts and tools from metal using a Lathe or Mill. Manual Machinists look at blueprints or plans, verify the set up is working well and producing quality product, ensuring it is defect-free and ready for the next step in production.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Previous machining experience a plus, but will train
- Attention to detail
- Reads and understands blueprints
- Must be able to read measurements, i.e. tape measures
- Inspects all parts as required by process sheet and drawings
- Good attendance record
- Good safety record
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
