What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP Medical Affairs, Oncology position at i-Pharm Consulting?

We are seeking an innovative and experienced Vice President or Senior Vice President for Medical Affairs who will build and lead our oncology Medical Affairs organization. You will develop strategies and programs across strategic planning, field medical, medical communications, health economics & outcomes research (HEOR), and patient advocacy. Working closely with the CMO and senior leadership, you will ensure our medical affairs activities comply with regulatory and legal guidelines.

The ideal candidate has broad expertise spanning the medical affairs functional areas, a track record leading successful US product launches, and oncology experience. You will take a hands-on approach while also managing external consultants and a small team of future hires. Flexibility working in a fast-paced start-up environment is essential.

Specific responsibilities include establishing policies/standards for medical affairs, developing scientific leader and KOL relationships, generating disease state awareness, supporting publications, engaging in medical communications, and collaborating with our clinical and commercial groups on provider and patient education.

Location: Cambridge, MA
Working model: Hybrid

Requirements:

- Terminal degree (PhD PharmD, DNP, MD)

- 10 years in strategic medical affairs

- Proven launch excellence

- US and global expertise, payer interactions, a passion for helping patients, strong business savvy, ethics, independence

- Exceptional and proven leadership skills.

- Solid Tumor Oncology therapeutics experience.
