Software Engineer
Location: Herndon, VA TS/SCI with Poly Security Clearance Required
Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.

Qualifications:
- Good communication skills - verbal and written
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Experience designing and developing commercial and/or govenrment software solutions that are commensurate with the candidate's experience
- Ability to independently problem solve assigned tasks
- Ability to learn quickly
- Security , SSCP or CISSP certification within 6 months of start
Desired Additional Skills and/or Certifications:
- Experience developing software in an Agile or DevOps environment.
- Experience developing micro services for an AWS cloud environment.
- Experience developing and managing a Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CICD) pipeline.
- Experience designing and developing software solutions using Microsoft products (e.g., C#, ASP .NET, MVC, Visual Studio)
- Experience designing and developing web applications using javascript frameworks/APIs (e.g., REACT framework, knockout JS, MVC, Cesium)
- Experience designing and developing enterprise solutions that leverage web services (e.g., SOAP and/or Restful) to communicate with external systems.
- Experience designing and implementing database solutions to support software applications.
- Experience developing unit tests.
- Experience developing test automation software
