Ian Martin Workforce has partnered with a high technology company that offers production solutions of machine tools, laser technology, and electronics. in this role, the primary responsibility is daily semiconductor laser production in all areas of the wafer fab, including set-up, qualifying, running production equipment, and the first line of troubleshooting.
You will be doing…
- Complete work according to documented instructions, in a tightly controlled environment.
- Qualify complex tools for use daily.
- Perform alignment and bonding of GaAs opto-electronic components.
- Handling chemicals and gases used in the process while equipped with proper PPE.
- Test, measure, and inspect process results using stated parameters.
- Follow documentation and safety protocols.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area; responsible for 5S
- Stay current on revisions of the product to ensure the most current criteria is applied.
- Follow TRUMPF Quality Standard (TQS).
- Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and output levels.
- Identify and eliminate waste to continuously improve assigned work areas.
- Cross-train into associated areas with Production Technicians at TUSP
Why this is the right job for you…
- High School education required, Associates' Degree in Electronic Technology or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years related experience required working in a similar environment
- Mandatory knowledge of photolithography processes and at least one of the following process areas: etching, epitaxial growth, metal deposition, electroplating, or experience as a production technician in a GaAs wafer fab.
- Must have basic knowledge of SPC concepts.
- Able to work standing up for 8-hour shifts.
- Able to wear a smock covering the entire body while working.
- Able to work with chemicals, gases, and microscopes
- Able to work independently and demonstrate an extremely high level of precision and accuracy.
- Able to commit to schedule, reliable transportation to and from site; flexible to work overtime when needed
- Willingness to ask questions and work safely at all times
- Pre-employment Drug & Alcohol testing and Criminal Record Check is required
