Position Summary
As an independent utility vegetation management consulting contractor, Atlas Field Services, LLC has supported our client's vegetation management programs since 2016. Our company consists of ISA Certified Arborists and Utility Specialists who verify and Audit tree contractors’ work for compliance with client specifications and needs.
Atlas Field Services (AFS) is currently seeking a Transmission GIS Data Manager for our client in the Flagler County area. Contractor employees in this position oversee the data and reports of Transmission Vegetation Management across 47 states and 4 provinces in Canada. This position also requires the performance of due diligence to ensure compliance with all federal, state, local laws and regulations.
The individual will develop reports relevant to action plans to improve performance and quality of inspections on work management data, responsible include acting as a Vegetation Management Inspector using LiDAR desktop patrols for QA/QC, Reviewing and correcting CMH on vegetation management activities for the areas, communications role with Area Arborist and Contractors.
Since the activities are accomplished primarily by using TVMS, a significant part of this position’s responsibility involves contractor execution and management oversight. This position is responsible for implementing program activities to ensure some or all of the following: Budgetary compliance, regulatory compliance, TVMS process compliance, and system report reliability.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Regularly audits TVMS to ensure federal and state regulatory compliance.
- directly oversees line clearing data entry activities for the regulated Florida utility as well as all NEER and NEET assets in 47 states and 4 provinces in Canada.
- Responsible for supervising the work scope of Transmission and Substation vegetation management across 47 states and 4 provinces in Canada in TVMS Database.
- Monitor performance of contract resources to ensure accuracy in personnel count and equipment count work consistent with NextEra Energy expectations.
- Responsible for working with and coordinating with Operation Leaders and Area Arborist to manage the data in real-time to ensure reports are current and accurate.
- Required to Support all data requests and updates for work including regularly occurring outages, higher impact outage events, major storm restoration events, of out-of-area travel, as necessary.
- Position requires a general understanding of electrical grid engineering standards to ensure proper report data management in adherence to the TVMS system.
- Promotes safety consciousness and adherence to OSHA and company safety requirements in all work activities to achieve an injury-free work environment and motivates and develops employees to ensure an effective and efficient workforce.
- This position reports to an FPL office and is not eligible as a remote work role.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (required)
- 4 years or more experience in Professional GIS positions and Transmission Vegetation Management (required)
- ISA (International Society of Arboriculture) Certified Arborist (required)
- ISA Certificate Arborist Utility Specialist (preferred)
- Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified (preferred)
- Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong problem-solving capabilities, the ability to multi-task, and attention to detail
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite.
- Must be skilled with technology and possess basic computer and smartphone skills
- Valid Driver’s license (Non CDL)
- Applicants must pass a pre-employment drug test.
- All candidates must possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record.
- This is a field and in-office role reporting to our client’s location in Flagler County, Florida.
