IATSE Local 15 Dispatch Department Represents entertainment industry workers who facilitate and execute live events including theatre, concerts, and corporate and private events. Local 15 runs a hiring hall for members and non-members to take short-term work all over the Puget Sound region (from Bellingham to Olympia, Seattle, and Port Townsend to the Gorge Amphitheater). This position fills labor requests from employers with workers in the Hiring Hall. Rigger in high demand if you like to climb, and willing to learn classes will soon start. Must be able to attend training at Sodo district's Hiring Hall located 5030 1st Ave South, Seattle WA 98134 if not experienced. If you have experience just need to have you vetted by our BOE for your skills.
Stagehand: (no rigging experience needed if you want work now)
Responsible for ensuring the success of show and event productions by performing the technical aspects related to the show(s) production.
Essential Functions:
- Able to follow directions in a face paced environment and take direction
- Like to work hard, move quickly, and stay busy while able to lift pull up to 50lbs with proper equipment and safety
- Performs the Load-in & out of band equipment and rental equipment
- Cabling: assist audio & lighting crew as directed
- Band Set changes
- Assist lighting & Audio crew as directed by Stage Manager or PM; Spotlight operation if required
- Assist audio crew with stands, microphones, cables, etc.
- Operate and care for stage areas in a safe, clean manner
- Assist with any Special Events operations
- Ensure stage trash is taken out; stage swept or set up for next show when possible.
Job Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to work Safely and follow directions
- Social Security Number and Valid i9 employment documents
- Bank account or banking app preferred
- Able to work outside for long periods depending on venue and split at times in and out to return to sight venue
- Able to wear proper dress code of steel toe boots and will get a hard hat when able
- Must be 18 years old
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs with proper equipment safely
- Work in an environment with moderate to loud noise level
Rigging, Carpenters, Welders, Av experience, Fork Certified, and Scissor operator are in high demand. Classes and training available
