Entry Level Quality Assurance Tester

We need individuals for week to week work working as a Junior Quality Assurance Tester. Training will be provided to help skills in bug writing, following and executing test cases test cases, and conducting exploratory testing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Manually test the functionality of various web sites, web applications, mobile applications, desktop applications, video games, and client-server systems
* Dynamically adapt test approaches to the context of each project
* Perform exploratory testing
* Develop and execute test cases, document results
* Log clear, reproducible bug reports
* Advocate for bugs throughout the resolution process
* Work with the Test Lead and Project Manager to ensure timely testing coverage according to project schedules

STATUS: Week to week (as needed) employment
WORK FREQUENCY: Up to 40 hrs/week
SALARY: $16.00/hour

QUALIFICATIONS:
* A curious and skeptical tester's mindset
* Software testing experience on desktop applications or web applications
* Experience with mobile devices (phones, tablets, etc.)
* Ability to follow direction, take ownership of assignments, and work well with others
* Ability to work independently and remotely with little to no supervision
* Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical people at various levels
* Ability to write clearly
* Ability to operate in situations with ambiguous or incomplete information
* Detail oriented
* Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
* Ability to manage multiple activities and projects at the same time
* Strong Windows and Internet knowledge
* General computer/networking knowledge
* Sense of humor

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Familiarity with a variety of bug tracking or test management tools a plus
* Mac OS X and/or Linux experience a plus
* Android and/or iOS experience a plus
* Knowledge of web browsers and browser types a plus
* Technical writing and/or editorial expertise a plus
* Strong gaming backgrounds (multi-platform and multi-genre experience) a plus
* Computer hardware familiarity a plus
* Beta-test experience a plus
