Job Description

IBI Group's US West finance team is looking to hire a Credit and Collections Specialist. If you like working remotely and live in Western Canada this may just be the role for you!
This role will be fully remote (in Western Canada) leveraging our work-from-home practices and tools to support our finance team and liaise with our clients. You will have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home with a working schedule that best suits your needs. Your ability to build and maintain relationships with our client's finance teams and collation of data will be crucial as we tackle the present and plan for the future.

Most of the things you’ll work on::
- Work directly with internal and external clients to ensure timely payment of outstanding receivables;
- Prepare collection notes in collections module;
- Forecast collections for future periods based on understanding of clients and payment patterns;
- Provide information for the quarterly reviews and year end audit.
Qualifications
You'll Need To Have:
- A certificate or degree in Accounting or Finance;
- Minimum of one year of accounting experience;
- Possess superior organization skills and a sense of urgency;
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Work well independently and in a team environment;
- Demonstrate ability to work in a multi-tasked, fast-paced and changing environment;
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, with advanced skills in Excel and Word;
- Intermediate to advanced IT literacy;
- Experience with accounts receivable;
- Strong prioritization skills and ability to manage a high volume of competing requests;
- Self-starter with the initiative to learn new project accounting systems;
- Excellent interpersonal skills; willing and wanting to work in a collaborative environment.
Additional Information
Due to COVID 19, we have implemented a work from home model until we return to the office. Our teams are currently working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic and will be for the foreseeable future. We are following the provincial procedures before considering returning to the office. On a weekly basis, managers have touch base meetings with their teams to discuss the progress of projects or any issues that they have encountered.
