The dispatcher is responsible for providing superior customer service to internal and external sources delivering "limo-like" transportation services for mobility-impaired individuals by vehicle and assistance with ambulation or wheelchair. Throughout the day, you are responsible for ensuring timely arrival and returns of our clients.

Principal Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
The person in this position must be able to:
- Receive non-emergency calls and record significant information
- Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions
- Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance
- Use radio, phone or computer to send drivers and/or vehicles to appropriate locations
- Monitor the route to coordinate and prioritize their schedule
- Provide vehicles with information about transport, traffic, obstacles and requirements
- Enter data in computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities and other information
- Completes all necessary paperwork and customer contact forms
- Attends training education sessions as required
- Develop a great relationship with their team
- Serve as a conduit between company, client, and driver
- Maintain full awareness of their drivers' locations
- Ensure the drivers are utilizing the quickest point-to-point directions
- Manage the collection of money from clients throughout the day

The employee frequently does not have control over the pace or volume of the work.
Qualifications and Skills
- Prior experience as a dispatcher is required (preferably in medical transport)
- EMT certification required
- Experience with TraumaSoft system preferred
- At least (1) year of responsible work experience as an emergency or non-emergency dispatcher/call center operator, public safety officer, security, military or healthcare services, or relevant work experience required
- Data Entry experience required
- Experience dispatching emergency and non-emergency calls
- Customer Service experience is preferred
- Superior listening and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of standardized computer operations
- Knowledge of the logs, reports, and filing procedures to perform necessary operator logging and documentation
- Knowledge of basic emergency medical techniques and procedures sufficient to relay appropriate information to callers and emergency response teams is preferred
- Ability to analyze information given over the telephone in emergency situations
- Ability to communicate and interact verbally with a variety of individuals in emergency situations
