Job Description:
ICF is seeking a Public Health Advisor to be part of its team supporting the Global Immunization Division (GID) in CDC’s Center for Global Health. Under the direction of CDC/GID staff, ICF will provide support for the implementation of all aspects of CDC/GID’s global COVID-19 vaccine program, including immunization planning, project management, program implementation, monitoring and evaluation, policy development, strategic planning, systems and human resource change management, and report writing. The ICF team will integrate fully with staff from CDC/GID to provide needed support to partner organizations and partner countries.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor COVID-19 vaccine related activities in countries and with CDC regional offices.
- Ensure alignment with country’s Covid-19 objectives and plans, and international partners’ related Covid-19 activities.
- Support data collection and progress reporting on priority countries’ COVID-19 vaccine programs.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in public health.
- At least ten years’ relevant technical experience working to support health programs in low and middle-income countries.
- Experience with CDC highly desirable.
- Experience with global health partners (e.g., USAID, WHO) desirable.
- Immunization experience desirable.
Professional Skills:
- Strong project management, organization, monitoring and evaluation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with a broad range of stakeholders within CDC, country governments and non-governmental organizations, and international organizations.
- Excellent communication skills and cross-cultural competence.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement detailed strategic work plans.
- Demonstrated excellence in writing and presentation ability.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt in a rapidly evolving context.
- French language skills desirable.
