Job Title: Superintendent

Location: Savannah, GA
We are currently seeking an experienced Superintendent to provide guidance and direction to front-line associates on a single shift. Plans daily work schedule and directs associates to assure accurate, efficient and timely delivery, proper inventory control and prompt and effective response to customer requests. Trains associates in facility and company policies and procedures.
Key Functions:
- Maintains firm hand on all aspects of operations and maintains effective balance of communication between management, supervision, and all production and support personnel.
- Identifies training requirements and ensures that all personnel possess: technical job proficiency and an understanding of their roles, responsibilities and performance goals.
- Schedules and shifts personnel to ensure efficient work teams. Initiates cross-training to ensure achievement of productivity goals.
- Ensures proper documentation and records in associate performance, safety, etc.
- Initiates performance evaluations, recommends pay changes and initiates progressive disciplinary process in the areas of counseling, oral and written warnings.
- Ensures compliance with safety, sanitation and security procedures.
- Initiates work order and reports to maintenance equipment and/or facility needs.
- This position is a Day shift position; however, the schedule may vary depending on the operational needs.
- Collaborates with the other managers to align strategic vision for vessel/warehouse operations with overall Seaonus strategy for maximizing productivity and safety.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 2 years lead or supervisory experience in warehouse, stevedoring, terminal, and vessel operations.
- Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills, along with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Strong verbal, written, and computer skills, including expertise in Microsoft Office.
- Able to operate and use modern office equipment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to lead, supervise, train, motivate, and hold associates accountable for performance, safety, and results.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with associates and customers.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license throughout course of employment.
- Preferably education from a Maritime School

Associate is typically in an office environment but frequently visits a warehouse or outdoor environment.
