Job Description: Certification Engineer - Aircraft
Job Location: Oklahoma City, OK (100% on-site)
Job Type: W2 Contract
General Duties: This position will be responsible for developing and reviewing technical information,
systems and certification requirements, and related production guidance materials for
aircraft systems. Assists the authorized administrator in management of certification
programs.
Essential Job Functions:
- Track systems requirements through development, design and
- implementation, testing, and certification.
- Responsible for assuring compliance with the appropriate aviation authority for
- supplemental type certificates (STCs) performed under the authorized
- administrator.
- Participate in and contribute to discussions surrounding project related
- airworthiness planning.
- Coordinate requirements and solutions with customers, engineer staff, and
- modification staff.
- Develop and maintain system requirement definitions, traceability and
- verification.
- Ensure systems content meets requirements of Statement of Work and
- certification requirements of the applicable governing authority.
- Prepare engineering feasibility studies and reports.
- Ensure the approved STC procedures are followed.
- Coordinate the Field Aerospace staff engineers, consultant designees, quality
- assurance inspectors, and flight test pilots.
- Prepare and review necessary documentation to support authorized
- airworthiness approvals.
- Verify regulatory compliance as it relates to certification of projects.
- Develop, execute, and lead test plans, procedures and reports.
- Track design progress, manage project deliverables, and schedules.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of five (5) years configuration management experience.
- Experience working with aircraft airworthiness certification processes.
- Understanding of 14 CFR Part 21; Part 23; Part 25
- Experience working in AS9100 and ISO9001 environments.
- Proficient with MS Office applications.

Education:
Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering Degree from an accredited
university and/or equivalent aviation industry experience
Reports To: Manager of Engineering Certification
