Idaho National Laboratory’s (INL) Information Assurance group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as a Cybersecurity Risk and Compliance Specialist! Our team works a hybrid 9x80 schedule located at our Idaho Falls facility with every other Friday off. Responsibilities Include: Coordinates external assessments and maintains external audit findings in DOE’s Enterprise Cybersecurity Enterprise Governance (ECGS) system. Coordinates corrective actions with the finding owner and submits findings corrective actions to the CISO and unclassified ISSM. Provides regular communications with those responsible for audit to obtain status and provide achievement date reminders. Establishes with the Cyber Leadership an appropriate IT/Cyber risk management methodology and work with management to develop indicators and metrics for material technology risks, obligations, and controls. Partners closely with cybersecurity teams in the identification and assessment of potential cyber and technology-related risks and coordinates the creation and implementation of risk mitigation strategies. Provides insight into emerging technology related risks and areas for improvement. Collaborates with partners across the organization to reduce the likelihood and potential impacts to risks that could be realized. Uses the integrated risk management platform to monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk management controls and processes and make recommendations for improvement. Manages Information Management’s (IM) contractual requirements as the IM requirements management coordinator (IMRC). Navigates hiring process, corrective action plans, requesting salary adjustments, performance reviews and assembling individualized training plans. Assists in all cybersecurity efforts including continuous monitoring, reporting, leading and participating on project teams, incident management, and supporting the INL Cybersecurity Program. Develops advanced concepts and techniques to enhance the cybersecurity risk assessment program. Supports the development and tracking of critical information that identifies performance and risk including quantification of that risk.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor's degree of Science and 5-8 years of relevant experience, or Master degree and 3-6 years of relevant experience, or PhD and 2-4 years of relevant experience, or 13-16 yrs. experience in lieu of degree - This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Must have a desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability - Experience in working with distributed team members - Must be extremely thorough with respect to documentation and communication - Strong communication and interpersonal/team skills - Strong presentation skills - Ability to prepare and maintain policies and procedures in accordance with federal requirements - Ability to accomplish audit of information systems with an emphasis on cybersecurity controls per the DOE’s Risk Management Approach - Initiative – Anticipates areas needing assistance. Proposes solutions and/or improvements - Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - Must be knowledgeable of Cybersecurity requirements. Preferred Requirements: - Knowledge of Federal Cybersecurity regulatory requirements pertinent to DOE Job Information Salary Grade PR0300: 210 ($93,492 - $154,212) / Salary Grade PR0400: 220 ($107,520 - $177,336) Chosen applicants are required to show a demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment.
