Job Description

The challenge

The Strategy & Transformation team works closely with IDB's top executives of its business and support units to ensure that the company continues on a growth trajectory and to ensure successful execution of the strategic initiatives. The team has played an active role in some of IDB's boldest and most strategic decisions and actively liaises with stakeholders to understand problems and opportunities and, recommends solutions to enable the achievement of organizational goals.

What you'll Do

As a VP, you will join a highly entrepreneurial team, including alumni from management consulting firms and strategy experts. You will work in project teams to design IDB's long-term growth and have the opportunity to lead significant workstreams or independent initiatives. This position provides unparalleled senior executive exposure and is often the avenue to other leadership roles throughout the company.

Qualifications

What you'll need to succeed

• 4 years of strategy/transformation experience either at a management consulting firm, or within an internal corporate strategy/transformation group of an organization
• Financial Services industry experience in commercial banking and/or private banking preferred
• Excellent end-to-end generalist problem solving skills and ability to prioritize issues and analysis
• Self-starter who takes initiative, and approaches all responsibilities with grit and perseverance to get things done
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, while staying focused on the big picture
• Proven track record of management of large scale, multi-workstream strategic projects, including defining project scope of work, developing detailed project plans, establishing milestones and defining the resources/funding
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presence in front of senior leaders
• Creative thinker with a bias for action
• Relentless but relationship-driven - ensuring that debates and discussions not only lead to good outcomes for all involved, but also set a positive tone for multi-functional teams
