JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate business objectives, develop organizational procedures, and coordinate functions and operations between regions, divisions and departments.- Direct and monitor activities to ensure the achievement of strategic and profit plans and the ongoing viability and growth of the business.
- Analyze monthly operating reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions.
- Responsible for forecasting and budgeting to develop the annual budget and three-year strategic plan.
- Plan and initiate capital appropriations and justifications which will support Division and Corporate goals, vision, values and enhance the shareholder value of the Company.
- Direct and coordinate formulation of financial strategies and business plans to provide funding for new or continuing operations to maximize returns on investments and to increase productivity.
- Initiate product and service development projects and ensure success of market/customer-driven new products which capitalize on existing and related manufacturing capabilities.
- Review and recommend to the Division President the consolidation, rationalization, or expansion of physical facilities and/or businesses.
- Ensure effective financial and budgetary functions/controls are in place and key financial and operational reports are developed and utilized.
- Establish and maintain effective information and systems to report and control usage of funds and other assets assigned to the business unit.
- Manage and monitor controllable assets to ensure an appropriate level of value creation.
- Coordinate and initiate activities with other operating units of the Division and Corporation to ensure maximum return on investment.
- Analyze costs and recommend appropriate techniques and methods for cost reduction and improved productivity through efficient utilization of all available resources.
- Appraise and recommend appropriate development of new products and services, the elimination of existing products and services, and/or the rationalization of facilities.
- Act continuously to improve products and services to customers, maintain the highest standards of performance.
- Interface directly with key and target accounts to ensure total customer satisfaction, business partnerships and growing levels of commercial activity.
- Establish relationships with critical supplier and other external resources to provide ever-improving resources for the division.
- Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of employee(s) to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished. Mentors, coaches, trains and develops team.
- Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.- Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred
- 8 years progressive Manufacturing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 years in a leadership role
- Periodic travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
- High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
- Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
- Ability to work overtime as necessary.
