Position Purpose:
Purchases materials, supplies and inventory items following established guidelines and procedures set forth by management. Orders all plant consumables and manages inventory levels. Orders manufacturing repair items and coordinates outside vendor service calls with maintenance team for onsite inspections, scheduled maintenance, and repairs for all equipment, machinery, and site facilities and structures. Maintains computerized maintenance management software in accordance with corporate guidelines. Maintains and sustains Tracking spreadsheets.
Major/Key Accountabilities:
- Research vendors and suppliers to ascertain most cost-efficient source of supplies.
- Request appropriate purchase order approvals. Performs data entry of purchase orders on computer and tracking sheets as required.
- Process all assigned purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner, assuring vendor deadlines are met for timely delivery to meet repair requirements.
- Track backorders, arranges with vendors for delivery and notifies Maintenance Manager as to the expected delivery date. Responsible to track POs for full receipt over time and follow-up with incomplete or missing orders
- Collaborate, coordinate, and escalate vendor issues while working with all departments.
- Claim procedures for short/overage and damaged shipments. Refuse incorrect deliveries or otherwise arrange for returns.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all invoice and purchase order processing.
- Reconciliation of parts and supply invoices.
- Support for all aspects of stock management.
- Maintain supplier, part detail, inventory information and part asset assignment in CMMS Master file.
- Maintenance parts purchasing / receiving / bar coding / warehousing / Work Order Entry.
- Assist Maintenance Manage in planning/coordination of PM routine and scheduling with operations group for scheduled downtime and maintenance.
- Issue parts, records withdrawal, and up-date Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Assist maintenance personnel with work order maintenance. Review mechanic daily work orders for service’s performed and parts that were used.
- Prepare reports as needed and file/record the reports as required.
- Ad hoc duties as required within the department.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
