As an automotive packaging, custom design solution shop, we partner with most of the automotive OEM’s, Tier 1, and Tier 2 suppliers to provide shipping solutions that are the best in the world. For IFR, the creative solution for each job drives the success or failure of our business. That’s why we look to our Account Manager’s to play a critical role within our business working closely with customer service, engineering and operations functions as well as the customer.
The main emphasis of the Account Manager is to generate and develop new opportunities within current and new customers to increase revenue. This position is highly rewarding because you are seen as our customers’ strategic partner, addressing returnable packaging needs with creative solutions. Key responsibilities include building relationships with new and existing customers, understanding customer needs and costs, and which designs would work best for the stakeholders. This position also requires travel and in person meetings both internally and externally across North America.
Our next Account Manager will be a strong self-starter as well as a strong team player. We also see this person as someone who is great at problem solving, very ambitious and exceedingly goal driven. We believe the following will provide a strong foundation for success:
· Knowledge of returnable packaging, logistics, technical sales, engineering or equivalent experience – required
· Minimum 3-5 years of experience with proven success in an external sales capacity – required
· Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and turn them into sales - required
· Exceptional customer communication and relationship skills (must be comfortable making cold calls) – required
· Ability to develop yearly sales budgets - required
