Ignite Digital Services has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Management Analyst in our Norfolk, VA location. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual that is a motivated self-starter with superior listening, communication, and analytical talents to lead our customer’s financial operations. The candidate must have experience with DoD financial management, DoD contracting, strong MS Excel skills and high analytical abilities. This role will provide financial support for multiple projects in support of the C2 Afloat Applications Division of NIWC Atlantic.

Scope of Responsibilities:

• Build budgets and manage required revisions
• Prepare monthly financial reports using processes and templates provided by the division
• Evaluate contractor spend plans and monitor expenditures against them
• Develop obligation plans, coordinate Purchase Requests to apply funding, and prepare records that substantiate funding recommendations
• Monitor, measure, and analyze costs against a budget using templates provided and modifying them as needed
• Collecting, consolidating, and performing analysis on data from multiple sources using data management best practices.
• Prepare intuitive and comprehensible slide decks for monthly briefings with the IPT’s customer
• Proactively identify and communicate potential financial issues before they become a problem
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a Finance, Business Management related Curriculum or Equivalent
• Knowledge of accounting concepts/principles (for government or public accounting)
• Candidate must be highly experienced with VLOOKUP, pivot tables, conditional sums, and data tools.
• Six (6) years of Contract Management or DoD FM experience, including Development of: Program Acquisition Documentation, Testing Criteria, Corrective Action Systems, Program Monitoring Approach (e.g. PERT, CPM, EVM), Cost Estimates, and Program Status Reports
• Experience with NERP is preferred.

Desired Qualification:

Experience with NIWC BOBJ reports preferred

Salary Range:  $60k  (to align with education & experience)
