Responsibilities
The Technical Writer creates, develops, plans, writes and edits operational, instructional, maintenance or test procedures for paper, multimedia or web-based publication.
- Write technical documentation for casino systems software products, including Release Notes, Installation Guides, API, and references.
- Gather and interpret complex technical information for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Manage documentation tasks for multiple products simultaneously.
- Work closely with subject matter experts in a collaborative, Agile environment to ensure accuracy and completeness of content.
- Build effective and productive relationships with peers and stakeholders.
- Adhere to established documentation standards and processes.
- Remain flexible for ad hoc documentation requests.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience. Degree in Computer Science, English, Technical Writing or equivalent preferred.
- 7 to 10 years of experience in technical writing.
- Must possess advanced skill level in MadCap Flare, MS Office 365 product suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, SnagIt. Knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD programs, HTML5, XML, CSS, Jira, and Confluence a plus.
- Experience working with CAD programs, hardware drawings, and BOMs a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and a high level of interpersonal skills mandatory.
- Must be a self-motivated team player with demonstrated ability independently manage projects, tasks, and special assignments.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment with minimal supervision. Must be able to provide a portfolio of relevant work samples.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $53,800 - $129,500. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .
