A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COOK

In this culinary position, you play an essential role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly. You arrive each day determined to ensure that every meal that leaves our kitchen lives up to our standards of quality. In the kitchen, you grill, fry, and prepare proteins, vegetables, and soups. To ensure guest satisfaction, you carefully follow recipes as well as assemble and plate food in an appealing manner. Your attention to detail ensures that each dish meets our established guidelines in every aspect as well as adheres to any special requests. To make sure that properly cooked food gets out to diners in a timely manner, you communicate effectively with other kitchen and front-of-house staff while working in an organized, coordinated, and efficient manner.

You always behave and present yourself in a professional manner, including following all uniform guidelines. In addition, you maintain the cleanliness of food prep areas at all times and follow food sanitation standards to the letter. Working in a fast-paced culinary environment, you are ready and willing to help wherever you're needed. Your friendly attitude and professional approach towards coworkers, members, and guests alike, contribute greatly to the success of our restaurant. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A COOK

• Willingness to learn
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
