What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Operator position at II-VI?
Duties include:
- Maintain and operate equipment used to fabricate and coat optics
- Sand, polish, clean optics
- Document processes
- Provide technical support to manufacturing issues
- Working with engineering team to improve processes
- Assist in labeling and proper identification of parts and tooling
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Maintain a clean and professional work area
Shifts:
- Day/Afternoon rotating
- Steady Afternoon shift
- Steady Midnight shift
Required Education:
- High School Graduate or equivalent
Experience and abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Good manual dexterity skills
- Basic computer skills and some familiarity working within Excel
- Must be both team-oriented and self-motivated
Working / Physical Conditions:
- Working conditions consist of a manufacturing environment involving small and large pieces of equipment and hazardous chemicals
- Some work may involve cleanroom laboratory
- Lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Work with acids, radioactive materials and other toxic chemicals
Safety Requirements
All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and II-VI Corporate EHS standards.
