WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

As a Data Analyst, you will be at the nexus of Business, Technology, and Data within the US Digital Hub at IKEA. You will be instrumental in empowering the Product and Technology teams in the US Digital Hub with insights that drive product roadmap development, measure feature impact, identify areas for improvement, and uncover broader business opportunities. You will also have the opportunity to work with cross functional partners in the US, as well as other Global markets, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business and, in turn, leverage analytics to deliver actionable recommendations to key stakeholders.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Ensure, promote and take responsibility for informed decision-making based on data in order to improve business performance as part of cross-functional digital product teams
  • Conduct advanced data exploration and analysis using modern data mining techniques and visualization tools to provide insights that help co-workers and stakeholders make better decisions
  • Evaluate the potential and usability of pre-processed, structured internal and external data sources for use in product analytics and data-driven decision-making in general
  • Ensure that solutions fulfill and adapt to actual business needs to continuously generate value for Ingka by working side by side with co-workers from different functions
  • Promote and apply agile ways of working in relation to advanced analytics, especially on topics like performance measurement and hypothesis testing by default to maximize key metrics and ensure that we realize the OKRs set by Group Digital

Qualification:
  • Formal qualifications (BSc, MSc, PhD) in economics, finance, computer science, natural sciences, or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, (Junior) Data/Web Analyst or (Junior) Data Scientist
  • Demonstrated ability to access, extract, and manipulate data from various platforms using one or more common query programming languages (e.g. SQL, R, Python)
  • Demonstrated experience with dashboard and/or data visualization development tools (e.g. Google Data Studio, Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau)
  • Ideally some familiarity and/or experience with retail analytics (e.g., AR/VR, POS systems, co-worker analytics)
  • Familiarity with cloud computing environments (e.g. Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform)
  • Experience working with cross functional teams and/or multiple internal stakeholders

By doing so, we will continue to perpetuate a driven culture within the organization and ensure that analytical rigor is applied to all key decisions.
