What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nightshift Warehouse Operative position at IKEA?
We are looking to welcome a Fulfillment Operations Co-Worker to join our amazing Fulfilment Team.
In this role you will be responsible for supporting a smooth and pleasant customer shopping experience. Whether you are working face to face with customers in the Store Warehouse or behind the scenes in our external warehouse, it is your job to ensure customers leave the store with what they came for.
Expected Starting Date: 22nd June 2024
WHAT WE OFFER
• This role offers an hourly rate of £12.00
• For Fork Lift Truck Drivers there is an allowance of £1.50 per hour.
• A Nightshift allowance of £2.25 per hour applies for hours worked between the hors of 10pm and 6am.
• IKEA is a Living Wage Foundation Employer.
CONTRACTS
• 30 hours per week working 5 nights over 7, including late evenings and 3 out of 4 weekends.
• 39 hours per week working 5 nights over 7, including alternate weekends. Please note for this role we are looking for a Fork Lift Truck Driver.
The hours of operation in this area are 9pm until 7am, while shifts will vary within these times we are looking for people who are available to work between 9pm and 7am.
Please be aware that the IKEA Edinburgh Store is located outside of the city and links by public transport may be infrequent. If you will be using public transport to get to the store we ask you to consider your transport route before you apply.

• You are comfortable using computers and handheld devices to support with the picking/filling of stock or to answer customer questions.
• You proactively look for tasks to be done and use your initiative to complete them in an efficient and effective manner.
• You have an adaptable mindset allowing you to switch between different tasks/areas and work within tight timeframes.
• You work with guidance from your manager to achieve set goals in agreed timeframes using standard ways of working.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
• You ensure products are available to customers by ensuring tasks in your area are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the IKEA Health, Safety & Security Rules & Regulations in your area.
• You work to ensure the efficiency of the fulfilment operation by working in simple, cost-conscious ways, developing, and sharing good examples of ways of working.
