Job Summary
This position is responsible for working with the team to ensure timely mixing of raw materials and blending of chemicals (powder and liquid) to supply to the next step in production.
The person filling this role needs to possess diligent planning skills & the ability to communicate effectively through both written, CB radio and in-person means.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations, including wearing provided uniform, gloves, and safety glasses, and following procedures for handling chemicals.
- Operate blending equipment and make adjustments to ensure quality of the blending process, including mixers and tanks to end user specification.
- Follow work order instructions to weigh and combine raw ingredients in accurate amounts, following quality control departments specifications laid out by the end user customer.
- Work hand-in-hand with the quality department to ensure the blend and cleaning samples used are tested and recorded within the specified timeframe to ensure smooth transition of the workflow.
- Thorough, diligent, and consistent written documentation is a key factor in success of this position, including maintaining timely workflows and accurate records.
Requirements:
- Ability to read and understand technical information in English and imperial measurements.
- Ability to understand and compute mathematical conversions.
- Good organization and documentation skills.
- Accurate and legible hand writing.
- Ability to operate forklift, electric, and manual pallet jack.
- Teamwork and positive attitude.
Physical Requirements:
- 95% standing, lifting, and walking.
- Frequent heavy lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Production environment, non-controlled conditions.
