The SQA Manager is responsible for the overall management and success of the testing project. They ultimately manage all testing efforts and corresponding team members per engagement. The role involves quality and test advocacy, resource planning and management, resolving issues that impede testing efforts, and more.
Defines and implements the iTEST test management processes and procedures per engagement
Defines, implements, and manages the quality criteria, defect process, testing process, test metrics needed, and testing tools per engagement
Creates, Maintains, and Manages the following documentation (as necessary) per engagement: Master Test Plan, Project Test Plan, Test Strategy, Test Approach Specifications, Risk Analysis, Regression Impact Analysis, Test Effort Estimation Report, MS Project Plan, Work Breakdown Structure, Project Test Assessment, Go / No-Go Reporting, Metrics Dashboard, Operational Readiness Report, Post Production Test Strategy, Lessons Learned, Test Closeout Report, other
Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement including planning, external vendor relationships, resources, budget, change, risks, issues, and communication
Confirms the types of testing needed and the criticality of each: Happy Path, Negative, Exceptions, Error Messages / Warnings, One-offs, Security, and other
Ability to effectively delegate, but also identify as a participating team member
Initiates / Manages project kick-off activities for test initiative: identifies overall approach necessary for complete quality assurance, estimates all aspects of the testing effort, conducts Project Kick-Off meeting with client and team, etc.
Defines and implements the iTEST test management processes and procedures per engagementManages and mitigates the resolution of all risks and issues per engagement
Ensures all necessary/expected documents are created, testing is completed, results are reported and artifacts are stored in a central location (client and iLAB) for future audit purposes
Continually analyzes functionality according to purpose, visibility, safety, financial impact, importance to the customer, testing plan, code complexity, etc. throughout the engagement to identify risks/issues/opportunities/other
Identifies and adheres to the project timeline and informs the client early of time-related risks by creating and managing the test Project Plan
Identify and extract test requirements from business requirements
Administers human resource management, i.e. weekly timesheet approval, paid time off, annual reviews, disciplinary action
Administers project resource management, i.e. resource needs and skill set, resource capacity
Sets client expectations appropriately in regard to the amount of work that can be accomplished with the available resources and time allotted
Handles resource onboarding activities obtaining access needed for team members per engagement
Maintains all communication for engagements at all levels
Reports on overall project status with the client and iLAB Executive Team
Assists in Identifying opportunities for automation to reduce testing cycles on repeated tasks
Manages team morale, commitment, and individual professional growth
Maintains excellent relationships and rapport with clients and the iLAB Executive Team; constantly building the client relationship
Supports the client's needs: systems, user interface, test-tool introduction, test planning, tester supervision, costs, progress status reporting, etc.
Interacts with and provides necessary deliverables to Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V), and other third parties

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree; 8 years of relevant software testing work experience
Experience establishing a Test Center of Excellence
Expert knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle models (Waterfall, Agile, etc.)
Expert knowledge of quality assurance methodologies
Self-motivated and able to lead and motivate a team
Ability to resolve issues within the team and project
Ability to deal with challenging situations and clients
Results-driven/oriented
Methodical and critical thinking
Highly adaptive and flexible to a changing environment
Ability to prioritize, plan, and lead multiple tasks and people
Proficient at presenting to and interacting with all levels of management and client representatives
ISTQB, Foundational Level Certification desired
Expert knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of tools (MS Project, Excel, etc.)
