Position Summary:
This position is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting promotions at ilani based on direction from the Marketing Manager and marketing team. Additional responsibilities include the auditing of promotions, the dissemination of promotional details to the overall team and the reporting of promotional results.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promotes superior guest service.
- Maintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani.
- Supervise promotional giveaways or special events, as needed. Duties entail, training the team members working the giveaways, moving giveaway product to the giveaway, staging the giveaway with giveaway product, evaluating guest play, and addressing guest complaints.
- Reviews promotional creative for accuracy including emails, direct mail, web and social.
- Develops the promotions calendar and other promotional visual aids and disseminates to the ilani team.
- Plans and executes promotions in accordance with approved rules and regulations.
- Creates promotional rules and guidelines for approval by regulatory bodies.
- Responsible for the design, oversight, and execution of necessary technologies regarding promotions. Including, but not limited to, compiling player lists/criteria, loading accounts into promotions, testing, and deployment of promotions at kiosks and games, and pre/post pro-forma reporting of promotions.
- Disseminates data following a promotion/event and provides insight to the effectiveness and return on investment.
- Audits all promotions in accordance with rules and procedures.
- Proofreads all work before filing. This process includes adhering to accounting and WA State and CTGC gaming regulations.
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in data-related field and 2-3 years of experience in casino promotions or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.
- Presenting data in Excel (charting, pivot tables) and data manipulation in Access and/or Tableau.
- Self-directed and capable of handling multiple mission-critical projects simultaneously.
- Ideal candidate will be an effective communicator and can work well as part of a team.
- Outstanding organizational skills required as well as strong written and verbal skills.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
- Must be able to work nights, holidays, and weekends.
- Work with vendors and buyers on requesting bids for promotions.
- Must be able to work in a smoking environment when on the casino floor.
- Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures (wear a face mask, other appropriate PPE, social distance).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Casino experience preferred.
- Understanding of SDS or Slot Interface Systems preferred.
- Experience with the development of promotions in casinos preferred.
- Experience with auditing preferred.
