Your Mission
In this role, you will be involved in assigned projects of automated, manual or less complex automated testing life cycles (test cases reviewing requirements, executing tests, etc.) and the validation process. Your task is to verify field reported or internal problems in the test lab, confer with quality assurance engineers and report progress on problem resolution to Management. This position will interact widely with field, franchisees and functional areas, advocate quality approaches and support Quality Assurance (QA) strategic goals. You will also work in assigned projects in designated area of responsibility by prioritizing tasks and adhering to deadlines to meet department objectives and individual performance metrics under the guidance of QA leadership within the project. You may work on projects for LCE or other Ilitch companies.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Participate in the automated, manual or non-complex testing of applications and processes. Collaborate with the development team and stakeholders to ensure testable application is estimated and developed.
- Identify test conditions for user stores and administer the test plans, scenarios and cases used in testing based on business requirements, technical specifications and/or product knowledge to ensure proper functionality or provide feedback for modification of computer programs. Ensures that the process aligns with the overall corporate life-cycle.
- Assist in planning activities, such as user story creation, point estimation, expected testing tasks while paying attention to testability.
- Apply the application of program analysis, support user testing and perform basic data validation.
- Execute and maintain manual and automated tests to ensure code quality in a continuous integration environment.
- Represent quality principles and processes within assigned product teams. Research and recommend continuous process improvement ideas to manager.
- Document and disseminate test results, release notes and troubleshooting guides needed for field support.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Information, Quality Assurance or related discipline. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Minimum of two (2) years of IT related experience in creating, documenting and implementing manual and automation tests, software testing methodologies, test plans, scripts and experience with retesting and documenting expected outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with others and successfully interface with both internal and external customers (CV Techs, franchise owners, etc.) to coordinate activities and arrive at decisions.
- Effective communication skills with a clear, concise technical writing style. Able to communicate with internal colleagues of all levels, both technical and non-technical, as well as external vendors and franchisees.
