A top AM Law firm in Boston, Massachusetts is seeking a Patent Associate or Patent Agent, to focus on either medical, biomedical, patent prosecution, technology, and/or mechanical/electrical/computer engineering work.

Experience:
- The IP Associate must have a strong background in the biological sciences and must be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
- Relevant experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications, evaluating patent portfolios, and performing due diligence investigations.
- A degree in biology, molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, immunology, mechanical, software, electrical/computer engineering, or a related discipline is required.
- Candidates must have superb organizational and communication skills, as well as possessing leadership and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Working with experts and witnesses on reports & evidence.
- Case management, including working to deadlines, managing client expectations and project delivery.
- Conducting research assignments, drafting pleading, motions, and briefs, preparing discovery documents, and taking/defending fact and expert depositions.
- Drafting and negotiating intellectual property licenses, collaboration agreements, research and development agreements, clinical trial agreements, manufacturing agreements, supply and distribution agreements, and other types of strategic alliances and partnering arrangements.
