Job Description
This client makes materials used in automotive batteries. The QA Manager is responsible for leading their team to ensure that the quality of our internal and external supplied materials consistently meet customer requirements. You will direct and support the quality group to ensure the QC goals are attained. QA Manager will lead IATF 16949 implementation while also being responsible to drive all QPRs, QIRs, & FQPRs to closure. The QA Manager is responsible for providing guidance and coaching on problem solving skills to the entire QA team.
- With a safety-first approach, ensure quality system meets customer requirements.
- Monitor customer complaints, including timing for short term response to quality issues and planning for long-term quality excellence.
- Guide quality engineering in audit activity and documentation.
- Review quality progress reports, field quality problem reports and other documents. Follow up on process control audit activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent degree. CQE, CQA or CRE (ASQ) certification desirable.
- 5 years’ experience, including management experience, in the Quality field, with proficiency in quality management systems (ISO 9001, TS16949, etc.).
- Experienced in developing Process Flows, PFMEAs, and Control Plans
- Motivated self-starter with the desire for continuous improvement.
- High level of energy, enthusiasm, and optimism as well as a sense of urgency and passion for excellence, with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ethical, quality-oriented individual capable of managing multiple projects in team environment.
- Experience with electronic data collection and analysis using SPC / capability software (Minitab, MeasurLink, etc.)
- Familiarity with automotive quality requirements.
