Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Accountant is to support the Accounting Controller/Director with the day to day responsibilities of the India office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for assisting the US based Controller in the management of IE India entity from a statutory and corporate controllership perspective
• Prepare and submit monthly payroll to the outside provider
• Prepare the monthly India payroll tax and other India statutory reporting including GST compliance and audit.
• Prepare transfer pricing report and documentation
• Assist the US corporate headquarters in corporate compliance including documenting Board of Directors meeting, annual Form AOC-4, Annual Form MGT-7 and other reporting.
• Assist the US corporate headquarters in the maintenance of excel based job trackers and the corresponding CTMS software system tracking for the studies
• Support and assist with periodic and year-end audits with external auditors
• Learn systems, file management, reporting requirements and processes related to Time and Leave Management and Payroll to provide Human Resource Manager backup as needed.
• Perform other accounting tasks as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree preferred from an accredited university or college OR a high school diploma /GED with at least 4 additional years of experience in Finance.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounting Operations.
• Familiar with India payroll tax processes and systems required
• Should be flexible to work in US time zone
