ABOUT THE POSITION
The Traditional Media Buying Associate will assist in the placement, planning and execution of Out of Home and Broadcast placements for Imaginuity across 40 markets. This role will work closely with the planning and client partnership teams to strategically execute traditional media strategies for our clients.
The Traditional Media Buying Associate will report into the Traditional Media Buying Manager and will be responsible for making sure our clients’ messages are delivered to the right target audience at the lowest rate possible. Working closely with senior level buyers, this position will ensure internal authorizations and documents are maintained, assist with the negotiation and execution of media buys, update monthly reporting, and steward relationships with vendor partners.
MEDIA BUYING ASSOCIATE ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and provide Traditional Media recommendations that best represent the Client’s business goals and performance expectations.
- Work in tandem with the planning teams to execute Traditional Media recommendations in 40 markets on time and with accuracy.
- Ensure that Traditional Media recommendations align with account and market goals and that minimum Share of Voice requirements are achieved.
- Responsible for maintaining contracts and buys for all Outdoor and Broadcast vendors and markets.
- Steward and maintain relationships with all Traditional Media vendors.
- Manage all Outdoor billing and assist senior level buyers with Broadcast billing.
- Coordinate and oversee the production of all OOH creative assets: transit, vinyl, and any other Out of Home assets that will be in-market.
- Manage all traffic instructions for each Outdoor and Broadcast vendor and market, as needed.
- Work with the Senior Leadership team to drive idea generation and innovation as it relates to Traditional Media.
- Responsible for the timely delivery of Proof of Performance and KPI reporting to clients monthly.
- Encourage cross departmental/channel collaboration to measure the success of each markets’ Traditional Media campaigns, ensuring they are delivering against each Client’s business objectives and performance metrics.
- Escalate issues as needed to Senior Leadership to ensure all errors and issues are immediately flagged and resolved.
- Build relationships with all key stakeholders, internally at Imaginuity and externally with vendor partners.
- Attend Industry events and conferences to ensure Imaginuity is integrated with the Advertising and Traditional Media community.
Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Marketing, Advertising or another related field.
- Excellent written & oral communication, presentation, editing & copywriting skills.
- Writing experience and the ability to deliver written content without errors.
- The ability to manage various deliverables with quick turnarounds while meeting all deadlines.
- Ability to think strategically and identify and resolve problems in a client-centric environment.
- Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint skills.
