Role Overview:
The Accountant is responsible Support Finance in carrying out corporate accounting policies, systems, and controls; record, interpret, and report financial and statistical data in order to supply Management with the necessary information to make sound business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Perform reconciliations of all Balance Sheet Accounts’ identify and resolve all reconciling items.
- Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principal and company procedures.
- Perform Cash Management; balance cash monthly and enter to Cognos; prepare Journal Entry for all cash transactions
- Track expenses paid on behalf of other entities and cross-charge monthly to KIP, Brookville, Kloehn, GT, NAS, Lichfield, Alpen, Fellbach, European Logistics Center, etc.
- Assist with yearly Tax Packages (Foreign, Federal, and State) for tax department.
- Identify opportunities for improvement; performs work with moderate guidance or management support.
- Other duties as assigned.
Critical Competencies for Success
- Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration from four-year College or University, or nearing completion
- 2 - 3 years related experience in Accounting and Finance
- Motivated self-starter with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Proficient at Microsoft Suite of Products
- Intermediate excel user
- JD Edwards or other ERP experience preferred
- Spanish speaking a plus
