Role Overview: 

The Accountant is responsible Support Finance in carrying out corporate accounting policies, systems, and controls; record, interpret, and report financial and statistical data in order to supply Management with the necessary information to make sound business decisions.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information. 
  • Perform reconciliations of all Balance Sheet Accounts’ identify and resolve all reconciling items.
  • Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principal and company procedures.
  • Perform Cash Management; balance cash monthly and enter to Cognos; prepare Journal Entry for all cash transactions
  • Track expenses paid on behalf of other entities and cross-charge monthly to KIP, Brookville, Kloehn, GT, NAS, Lichfield, Alpen, Fellbach, European Logistics Center, etc.
  • Assist with yearly Tax Packages (Foreign, Federal, and State) for tax department.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement; performs work with moderate guidance or management support.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Critical Competencies for Success

  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration from four-year College or University, or nearing completion
  • 2 - 3 years related experience in Accounting and Finance
  • Motivated self-starter with strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Proficient at Microsoft Suite of Products
  • Intermediate excel user
  • JD Edwards or other ERP experience preferred
  • Spanish speaking a plus
