As the Civil Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for project manager responsibilities in the government business sector in Southwest Michigan. With a passion for people, you will build on the strategic commitment to the growth and development of client-focused teams.
Your day-to-day role will include:
· Maintaining and fostering relationships with current and potential municipal clients
· Monitoring staff performance and workload in addition to facilitating work sharing with other locations
· Deploying strong technical skills for storm, sanitary, water, and local roads projects
· Managing the financial performance of projects by ensuring the backlog is healthy, utilization targets are achieved, and overhead costs are low
· Functioning as a leader in the organization, partnering with the Director of Engineering and Municipal Engineering Manager to align talent for projects while continually developing a pipeline of talent and succession planning
· Identifying and pursuing finding mechanisms to support municipal clients
Requirements:
· Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
· 5 years of business development experience
· 5 years of leading and managing a team
· 5 years of municipal project experience
· Licensed PE
